Deep Sea Fishing Near Orlando Florida

Blue Water And Other Ocean Fishing

Monday May 29, 2017

"My favorite summer activity it going Deep Sea fishing near Orlando Florida with my husband, Captain Richard Bradley. It's an awesome way to slip away for the day and work on my tan while pulling in some hard fighting fish in the Atlantic Ocean," Explains Gina of Lagooner Fishing Charters. "Our summers are usually smooth, calm days, making for a speedy ride out to the fishing grounds to do some livebait trolling, bottom fishing or sight fishing. Personally I just like to relax and have an enjoyable day on the deep blue sea."

Orlando has fabulous fishing for king mackerel, cobia, tarpon, jacks and seasonal dolphin, wahoo and bottom species like snapper and grouper. The summer months is very condusive for small, high performance fishing trips hunting for deep sea species

"One of my favorite things in the whole wide world to do is deep sea fish east of Orlando during the calm Florida summer days. "

"Captain Richard grabbed me quickly to quickly take off from the daily grind and spend a morning on the ocean before the sun got too hot. I caught several king mackerel and baraccuda before heading back to the house and cooking it a nice kingfish dinner for the family."

Captain Gina has her own site about activites and things to do in the Cocoa Beach, Florida area. It's a light hearted site about everything from dining, drinking and outdoors activities in her hometown area. "A short drive to and from Orlando to the east coast allows many of my friends to come over and visit our beautiful coastline and go fishing, surfing or spending a day on the beach with me." explains Gina. "We have everything to offer from partying to pleasure!"

Deep Sea Fishing GuideHello,
Deep Sea Fishing is a great way to spend a day while visiting the Orlando area in Florida. Many of my regular local anglers love to take a day off during the summer for a day of fishing offshore for big game species like king mackerel, cobia and mahi-mahi. Occassionally we catch billfish like the popular sailfish but we're better known for the aforementioned fish including snapper and grouper.
When you're visiting our Florida hometown next time, please give Lagooner Fishing Guides a call and let us take you on a spectacular fishing trip directly east of Orlando. You won't regret the Florida sunshine and deep blue sea while catching a fish of your dreams.

May - 2017 Fishing Forecast

May in Central Florida is the beginning of great things for people looking toward an ocean fishing trip looking for fast action. King Mackerel, Cobia and even a few tarpon start to make a showing as May develops into a more summer like pattern. Inshore the fishing can be productive for early morning and evening anglers as the sun warms the gin clear waters of the Mosquito Lagoon and the Banana Rivers. Both Redfish and Spotted Sea Trout will be a popular gamefish that even the youngest anglers will appreciate and enjoy. Bring plenty of sunscreen, some polarized sunglasses and broadbill hat as the Florida sunshine will penetrate the most protected boating endeavors. May is the beginning of the summer in Florida as far as the temperatures are concerned, but there's often an afternoon shower, so be prepared to fish early and get off the water before the afternoon storms roll in. So remember, inshore fishing and offshore fishing are an equal opportunity in May in Central Florida.

Inshore Charter Fishing in the Banana River Lagoon near Cocoa Beach, Florida. Catch redfish, sea trout, tarpon, snook and many other saltwater gamefish aboard the world famous Lagooner flats fishing boat with renowned Captain Richard Bradley.

A very knowledgeable guide and knows the area waters well. We were on big reds and trout within minutes of the leaving the dock and ventured about the lagoon to catch different species. The scenery in the Lagoon is remarkable! Richard’s boat was well equipped with good equipment, he was well prepared to adapt to the different types of fishing through out the day. My primary focus was sight fishing for big reds on fly - the flies that Capt. Richard provided were right on! Booking the charter was a breeze, his wife Capt. Gina was very accommodating to work me in (thank you Capt. Gina). Capt. Richard seemed to know who was hungry at the right times – and we had some impressive catches! Well done Capt. Richard, and thanks for a great day on the water!
